My name is Laurie, and among my many roles, I am a dedicated graphic artist. My artistic journey has been enriched by a diverse array of experiences, both creative and beyond. In 2012, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies with a focus on Documentary Film Production from The University at Buffalo. Several years later, shortly after my daughter\u2019s first birthday, I returned to academia to pursue a second Bachelor\u2019s degree in Communication Design from Buffalo State University. Upon graduating from BSU, I was quickly appointed as a Lecturer for the 200- and 300-level Visual Communications courses. Currently I maintain a full-time position as an Integrated Marketing Services Creative Web Designer II with Hearst: LocalEdge.<\/p>

My path to this point has been non-linear, allowing me to cultivate versatility and a well-rounded skill set. I approach my work with a blend of growing confidence and openness, embracing both vulnerability and strength. This mindset not only informs the quality and integrity of the projects I create but also enhances the unique perspective I contribute to my colleagues. Above all, I remain receptive to the insights and voices of others, recognizing that collaboration and continual learning are essential to artistic and professional growth.<\/p>
