My name is Laurie and I am, among many things, a graphic artist.

My progress as an artist has benefited from a range of experiences, both creative and otherwise. In 2012, I received a BA in Media Study with a concentration in Documentary Film Production from The University at Buffalo. Several years later, and very soon after my daughters 1st birthday, I returned to school and received a BA in Communication Design from Buffalo State University. After graduating from BSU, I was promptly hired as a Lecturer for the 200 and 300 level Visual Communications class, a position I hold in addition to being a full time Digital/Web Designer with Hearst: LocalEdge. 

Having a non-linear path to my current position, I’ve come to appreciate the benefits of being well-rounded and versatile. It is with ever-evolving confidence and vulnerability that I stand behind the work I create, the perspective I have been able to offer my colleagues, and an openness to the wisdom and voice of others.
